Application Portal

Applicants who are permanent residents in Ukraine, as well as Moldova and Belarus, and who intend to travel to Norway as their main destination, must register their applications for a Schengen Visa and pay the visa fee through the Application Portal.

Click here to access the Application Portal

The Application Portal is used for applications where the purpose is:

- tourism, visits to friends / family, business trips etc

- residence/work or study permits, family reunification and entry visa for spouse

How to apply
First time applicants must register as users on the Application Portal. Existing users can simply log on.

Applicants will be guided through the application process. The information requested is the same as on the (previously used) application form for a Schengen Visa, such as personal details, details of close relatives, the intended journey, etc.

When registering an application through the Application Portal, the applicant must print out a cover letter from the Portal (this is possible after payment has been made). The cover letter should be enclosed with the other  supporting documents when handing in the application at the Embassy.

After registering the application, paying the visa fee (by debit /credit card) and booking an appointment via the Portal, the applicant must submit all the supporting documents at the Embassy and enrol his/her biometric data. In case of fails in payment the applicant should contact the bank issued the card to check whether there are any limitations for payment via Internet. The card could be in any currency, payment will be made according to the exchange rate settled by "VISA" or "MASTER CARD".

Applicants who are exempt from paying the visa fee will get the fee reimbursed (electronically) when submitting their supporting documents at the Embassy. In cases where the relevant documents have not been submitted within two weeks after lodging the application online (on the Portal), refunds will take 2-3 months, as bank transfers have already taken place.

Applicants who require a receipt for the visa fee can print this out from 'My visa application(s)' on the Portal. However, it is not necessary to submit this to the Embassy.

Applicants can also check the status of their applications on the Application Portal (under 'My visa application(s)').

Previously lodged applications will be stored on the user's profile and can be used as templates for subsequent applications.

Please note that the Embassy cannot start processing the application before all supporting documents have been received.

Important notice! Please check during registration of your application on Application Portal that you have selected correctly your country of residence in the field ” I live/work in:” as ” Belarus or Ukraine”, so that the application will be sent to the Visa section of the Norwegian Embassy in Kiev. Please check in the upper right corner of the cover letter name and address of the Embassy. It will take us some time to note and correct such mistakes resulting in longer processing time. In case you find a mistake in your registration call our Visa section +38 044 590 04 70 (press 2 or *2 after connection) and inform about the mistake, your reference number, name and surname.
