Invitation

Last updated: 28/04/2011 // In order to be granted a visa, an applicant must have an invitation from a reference person in Norway. A letter of invitation does not guarantee a visa will be issued. The reference person is advised to send the invitation letter directly to the applicant, so that applicant can submit complete application.

An invitation from the referee (inviting part) in Norway is one of the supporting documents to be enclosed in a visa application. The exemption is if the purpose of travel is tourism).

The reference is advised to send the invitation letter directly to the applicant, so that applicant can submit together with the rest of the supporting documents.

Private visit
An invitation for a private visit may be written as a letter from the reference to the inviting part. Another, more convenient way is to use our invitation where all the necessary information is stated. The reference just needs to fill it out and send it to the applicant either by e-mail or mail.

2.     Date or birth or passport number of person invited

3.     Your relationship to the person being invited

5.     Details on accommodation and living expenses

6.     State whether the person extending the invitation is also standing as a financial guarantor for the applicant

7.     Complete name and address in Norway of the inviting party.

Please be aware that a written invitation which does not contain the information below may in the worst case lead to a refusal of the visa application.

Business
