Посольство Норвегії глибоко стурбоване неповагою до прав людини і громадянських співгромадян, показаних злочинцями, що нападали на мирних учасників «Фестивалю Рівності -Львів 2016" у суботу 19 березня.
Посольство відзначає той факт що поліція, врешті-решт, з'явилася та провела учасників у безпечне місце. Проте, беручи до уваги загрози і рішення суду протягом останніх декількох днів, ми здивовані і стурбовані тим, що на перший погляд не були проведені достатні попереджувальні заходи місцевими органами влади.
Ми очікуємо, що особа, відповідальна за неспровоковані публічні акти насильства і ненависті була притягнута до відповідальності.
Ми також закликаємо місцеві органи влади, надати повний і прозорий звіт про заходи, вжиті для забезпечення безпеки учасників конференції та широкої громадськості Львова.
Львів є містом, яке говорить про себе як про місто "відкрите для світу", і показує себе у якості зразка для європейської інтеграції України. Події які відбулися 19 березня не можуть не кидати тінь на це зображення.
The Norwegian Embassy is profoundly concerned about the blatant disrespect for human and civic rights of fellow citizens shown by the perpetrators that attacked peaceful participants of the “Equality Festival Lviv-2016” on Saturday 19 March.
The Embassy recognizes the fact that the police in the end appeared on the scene and escorted the participants to safety. However, given the threats and court ruling during the last several days, we are surprised and concerned about what seems to be a lack of preventive measures taken by the local authorities.
We expect that the persons responsible for the unprovoked public acts of violence and hatred are brought to justice.
We also call upon the local authorities to give a full and transparent account of the measures taken to protect the security of the participants of the conference and the general public of Lviv.
Lviv is a city that proclaims to be "open to the world", and has a track record as a showcase for the European integration of Ukraine. The events of 19 March cannot but cast a shadow over this image.
