Norway has rugged, unspoiled landscapes and varied topography. Still, we have bicycle trails to suit both the very fit and the more easy-going cyclist. From the seat of a bicycle your experience of the country will be more direct and intense.
You can take a short tour, maybe only a modest day trip, or a tour lasting for a week or more. Thanks to Cycle Tourism in Norway, a variety of cycle routes have been marked, and the organisation has assembled information about the routes into a single publication. The routes are signposted and follow roads that have little or no automobile traffic. You will find places to rent bicycles and cycle-friendly accommodation along the routes. You set the pace yourself and decide how far you want to ride. You are free to stop whenever you like to enjoy the countryside. You can rent a bike at camping grounds, holiday resorts and sports shops all over the country.
