Посольство Королівства Норвегії в Україні має честь повідомити, що Його Високоповажність пан Уле Т. Хорпестад вручив вірчі грамоти Його Високоповажності пану Петру Порошенку, Президенту України, що акредитують його Надзвичайним і Повноважним Послом Королівства Норвегія в Україні.
У ході бесіди з Послом Норвегії Уле Терʼє Хорпестадом Президент подякував народу та уряду Норвегії за солідарність з народом України у боротьбі за незалежність та територіальну цілісність. Сторони обговорили важливість продовження політики санкцій по відношенню до країни агресора і збереження єдиної солідарної позиції з Україною. Глава держави наголосив на значному потенціалі двосторонніх економічних відносин, зокрема в енергетичній та агропромисловій сферах, а також у напрямку телекомунікаційної і інформаційної технологій.
Глава держави висловив вдячність уряду Норвегії за підтримку гуманітарних проектів в Україні, насамперед спрямованих на допомогу внутрішньо переміщеним особам з Донбасу. Також було обговорено підготовку першого в історії двосторонніх відносин офіційного візиту Президента України до Королівства Норвегія.
The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Ukraine has the honour to inform that H.E. Mr Ole T. Horpestad has today presented to HE Mr. Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine, the Letters of Credence, accrediting him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Ukraine.
In the course of the conversation with Ambassador of Norway to Ukraine Ole Terje Horpestad, the President expressed gratitude to the people and Government of Norway for solidarity with the people of Ukraine in its struggle for independence and territorial integrity. The parties discussed the importance of continuing the policy of sanctions against the country-aggressor and preserving the unified position of solidarity with Ukraine. The President pointed out considerable potential of bilateral economic relations, particularly in the energy and agricultural sectors, as well as in the sphere of telecommunications and information technologies.
The President expressed gratitude to the Government of Norway for supporting humanitarian projects in Ukraine primarily designed to help the internally displaced persons of Donbas. They also discussed preparations to the first official visit of the President of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Norway in the history of bilateral relations.
